Middle Kentucky Community Action Partnership, Inc. is requesting applications for the Head Start Program for the Full-Time position of Cook at the Breathitt County Head Start Center. Job Description•Understand and comply with all sanitary regulations governing handling and service of food.•Provide meals and snacks that meet CACFP requirements for nutrition and meal preparation.• Keep accurate records.• Attend all required trainings.• Secure volunteer and product in-kind as needed.• Turn in all bills to CACFP Manager within two days of the last working day of the month.• Order food and supplies based on menu.• Ensure meals are served on time.• Maintain confidentiality of children with special dietary needs while relaying information to relevant persons.• Post required documentation.• Maintain a clean kitchen at all times.• All other duties as assigned.Qualifications •Must have a high school diploma or GED.•Must obtain food handlers certificate.•Experience in commercial or school kitchen service preferred.•Must be able to pass a regular health exam including TB skin test.•Must be able to pass Criminal Check and Child Abuse/Neglect check.•Must pass preemployment and random drug and alcohol testing.Applications can be found on our website at www.mkcap.org or at any Middle Kentucky location throughout our service area.Deadline: Applications must be received no later than Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at 4:30 p.m. Applications can be faxed to (606) ###-####—Attn: Human Resource Department, emailed to ...@mkcap.org, or can be dropped off at any Middle Kentucky location throughout our service area including the Central Office located at 171 Howell Heights Jackson, KY 41339.
