Mount Joseph at Waterville is a LTC/SNF facility that also provides services for Assisted Living and Independent Living. This position requires some short-order breakfast cooking and service. Light lunch meal preparation and service of the lunch meal. Other light prep work as well as cleaning and sanitation is required for each shift. This position will also need to work every other weekend. Cook Job Summary You will be responsible for cooking for our residents with a busy dietary service team to prepare appetizing and healthful foods based on the nutrition and health needs of our residents. Responsibilities and duties include but not limited to:
- Review menus prior to preparation of food
- Inspect special diet trays to assur they are correct
- Preparation, cooking, and service of a variety of foods
- General kitchen cleaning
- Dispose of food and waste in accordance with established policies
- Coordinate dietary service with other departments as necessary
- Assist in standardizing the methods in which work will be accomplished
- Assure food and supplies are readily available for meals
Requirements: Education: Associates degree preferred, not required Experience: Two years related food service experience Leadership: Position may need leadership skills and experience, if supervising staff Excellent communcation skills, written and verbal Benefits:
