- Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure timely and efficient food preparation during service.
- Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh
- Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients
- Bake, grill, steam, and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry, and other foods
- Present, garnish, and arrange final dishes
- Occasionally serve food
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment, and dishes.
- Handle and store ingredients and food
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment and utensils
- Execute opening and closing procedures
- Set up workstations with the required ingredients and equipment
- Check the quality and freshness of ingredients
- Monitor station inventory levels
- Be able to adapt to high-pressure situations and busy service periods.
Your Experience Matters What we're looking for:Education/Experience: Must have at least two (2) years experience in quantity cooking, a basic knowledge of modified diets; training in food service sanitation and possession of food service food handler's permit as required; experience utilizing industrial kitchen equipment and utensils; and some prior kitchen supervisory experience helpful.Additional Skills- Strong culinary skills and knowledge of cooking techniques.- Attention to detail in presentation, flavor, and consistency.- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented kitchen.- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.- Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and evenings.- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a passion for culinary arts.Additional Requirements: May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.Your Care Matters What we provide for our team:
