Your opportunity awaits at Ridgeview Institute Monroe!We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Cook to join our hospital kitchen team! In this role, the Cook is responsible for the preparation and service of breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals for patients and facility staff according to the approved menu cycle and production sheets within The Joint Commission, CMS, State and OSHA standards and regulations.
- Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh
- Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients
- Bake, grill, steam, and boil food as directed
- Present, garnish and arrange final dishes
- Serve food on occasion
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes
- Handle and properly store ingredients and food, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards
Your Experience Matters What we're looking for:
- Education: High school diploma preferred.
- Experience: Must have at least two (2) years experience in a healthcare setting; basic knowledge of modified diets; training in food service sanitation and experience utilizing industrial kitchen equipment and utensils; and some prior kitchen supervisory experience helpful
- Additional Skill Requirements: You may be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
