This is a full time Monday - Friday position. The individual will be responsible for lunch and dinner preparation and service for students in a residential facility. This position requires an individual who is responsible, reliable, able to work independently and is dedicated to the community they serve. Will be required to:
- Determine timing and sequencing of cooking in order to meet deadlines for meal service
- Performs cleaning duties, such as sweeping, mopping, cleaning of equipment and work areas, dishwashing, on a daily basis
- Complete temperature logs on a daily basis
- Perform temperature checks during meal periods to make sure that temperatures comply with state and federal mandated standards
- Follows sanitation requirements according to state, federal of local safe food handling as prescribed by manager
- Complies with all requirements of the mandated food handling certification requirements
- Follows all Whitsons policies and procedures at all times
PAYRATE - 19/hour
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Must complete all Whitsons required training
- Servsafe certification
- Ability to read and speak english in order to understand and perform job assignments
- Must be proficient in recipe procedures and cooking techniques
- 1 year professional culinary experience required
- Always present a positive and professional image
- Be able to stand on feet for the majority of the work day
- Lift and move up to 40lbs
