Here at St. Peter's Health Partner's, we care for more people in more places.Position Highlights:Recognized leader: Magnet Hospital in the Capital RegionQuality of Life: Where career opportunities and quality of life convergeAdvancement: Strong orientation program, generous tuition allowance and career developmentWork/Life: Positions and shifts to accommodate all schedulesWhat you will do:Create and prepare food items and act as liaison to front-of-house employees to ensure proper food service is being delivered.Position Summary:Cleans food preparation areas as determined by law and company policyPrepares foods to the specifications of the clientPrepares food before the arrival of guestsMakes adjustments to food items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific diet concernsManages other employees in the kitchenSeasons food according to recipes or company needsOrders ingredients and spices as neededOperates various kitchen appliance such as a blender, oven, grill, or stand mixerPortions, arranges, and garnishes food based on client preferenceAssists other cooks during the food assembly processDevises new recipesEstimates expected food consumption and organizes preparationKeeps records and accounts of food purchasesOrders new menu items for specials or cheap dealsButchers and cooks animal meat based on the restaurant atmosphereMeets with customers to ensure a great meal experiencePrepares any necessary sauces or accompaniments before meal service beginsStays open until the last customer leavesOffers a creative menu to compete with other local restaurantsCleans up after business hoursCommunicates with owner about how to improve meal serviceAlters dishes based on consumer suggestions or requirementsMinimum Requirements:Food service and customer service experience is preferredCulinary degree or accredited culinary course preferredAbility to follow instructionsAbility to read and write English at a minimum 6th grade levelWe thank you for your interest in St. Peter's Health Partners and look forward to hearing from you soon!Pay Range: $16.70 - $20.36Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
