Responsibilities:

Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies

Prepare food for service (e.g.chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)

Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables,dairyand other food items using knives, electric mixers, immersion blenders, food processors, scales, andportionbags.

Processes prepared foods for service usingstandard kitchen equipment

Assure that each item is cooked to the Chef and guest's specifications

Garnish each dish properly

Adhere to instructions provide bythe Head Chef,Lowes Foods manuals,anddocumentation

Maintain a clean and sanitaryworkstationarea including tables, shelves,cookingequipment,prep equipment, andstorage equipmentboth during and after service

Stock inventory appropriatelyand according to established standards and systems

Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, inahigh quality andtimelyfashion

Assumes responsibility for quality, food safety/sanitation and timeliness of products served

Maintainsafety andsanitation throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards.

Provide guestsserviceconsistent with our established Purpose, Priorities, and Service Standards.

Ensurethe quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards.

Perform other related duties as assigned by the management staff

Qualifications:

Previous food preparation experience is helpful but not required.

Friendly, outgoing personality.

Ability to work well with others.

Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.

Ability to read and understand information and direction.

Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.

Must be at least 18 years old.

Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
