Description This is position is a per diem - as needed position variable hours. St. Andrews Village | MaineHealth is searching for a cook. Under the supervision of leadership, the COOK is responsible for the preparation and presentation of food production during assigned scheduled hours. The cook will follow standardized recipes and work in a timely and efficient manner. The cook is required to comply with all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards and follow food production programs and procedures. Summary Summary: The Cook role is responsible for preparation of foods for patients, guests, residents, and employees. Assures the facility's cleanliness, sanitation, and maintenance of equipment and supplies. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) 1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. 2. License/Certifications: Food safety certification required (e.g., ServSafe). 3. Experience: One year of relevant food production experience required. One year of specialized culinary training or institutional/retail cooking experience preferred. 4.
