RESPONSIBILITIES:Operate the Coordinate Measuring Machine.Interpret blueprint and/or CAD design and develop CMM computer program techniques for the dimensional inspection processPerform first article dimensional inspection of partsEvaluate and create inspection reports of measurement results in required format.Perform and report routine in-process dimensional sample inspection of partsParticipate in dimensional problem-solving activitiesParticipate in gage and equipment calibrationSupport daily production with measurements and CMM run needsHelp manage internal measurement tasks for production related programs.Prepare metrology reports and other related correspondence.General support for supplier quality measurements.Perform measurements on 3-D measurement machine.Perform measurements on 2-D measurement machine.Provide and implement continuous improvement and cost saving ideas.COMPETENCIES: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex engineering documentsAbility to interpret and extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.Ability to comprehend nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.)Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as Algebra, Trigonometry, and Geometry.The Dixon Group is committed to protecting the privacy rights of its employees and job applicants to the fullest extent required by applicable law.To that end, personal information will be collected solely for those legitimate business purposes recognized by law, and then maintained in a manner consistent with all applicable laws and regulations pertaining to document retention requirements.The Dixon Group does not sell personal information to third parties, and does not share such personal information with third parties except when authorized by law to do so (e.g., in response to a lawful subpoena; mandatory tax reporting; etc.)Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
