Coordinating Arts Program Director (Full-time or Part-time)

Salary:At least USD $70,000 year. Bonus at mid and end year

The John Cranko School SI is an elite youth ballet program, and is a collaboration between ASE and the internationally renowned John Cranko School of Germany. The position is year-round, hybrid, and based out of NYC with a 5-6 week summer residency at the Loomis Chaffee Boarding School, CT. (Full-time or Part-time options are possible).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Overseeing outreach and relationships with schools, teachers, vendors, and other partners
  • Managing the Program enrollment process, inclusive of:
    • Communication with families
    • Monitoring payment receivables
    • Form review
  • Preparation of Program Manuals and Forms
  • Engaging and negotiating with Program vendors
  • Program's summer on-site Staff team includes: Coordinating & Artistic Directors, Assistant to the Directors, Nurses & Athletic Trainers, Program Teachers, Parent Chaperons, Program Assistants. Coordinating Director's responsibilities will include:
    • Management of program staff (about 25-30)
    • Oversight & support of participants (about 150 ages 9-15 years), ensuring successful engagement in all of program activities
    • Liasoning with the Loomis school and all other vendors
    • Any other responsibilities associated with ensuring smooth operation of the program, as well as a safe and enjoyable environment for the participants

REQUIRED:

  • Strong communication, administrative, organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong computer/on-line skills, specifically: Microsoft Office, Google Suite, etc.
  • Detail oriented and comfortable/familiar with financial payments process
  • Experience of supporting youth in group environments
  • Appreciation of foreign cultures
  • Ability for weekend travel nationally during the months of Jan – Feb
  • Commitment to live on CT campus for 5-6 weeks of the program
  • Non-standard hours, including weekends, especially during July – August
  • Driver license and driving experience

PREFERRED: Appreciation of performing arts/dance, social media skills, Russian language
