JOB SUMMARY
Coordinator 1 plays a vital role in supporting the efficient operation of the department. The Coordinator 1 position involves coordinating administrative tasks, facilitating communication, maintaining records, and providing assistance to team members. The Coordinator 1 contributes to the overall effectiveness and success of the department by ensuring smooth coordination and execution of activities.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist with all payroll and time data entry and maintenance activities including but not limited to garnishments, Direct deposits, etc.
2. Respond to payroll and time inquiries and provide assistance to employees and departments with pay check questions, quota balances and leaves, etc.
3. Assist with processing ACH returns as needed.
4. Regularly engages customers, clients, and end users, including through frequent school visits, to gather personal feedback on the impact of activities and needs.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES CONTINUED
5. Assist in auditing payroll and time data accuracy and in data entry as and when necessary.
6. Assists in developing training materials, incorporating payroll and/or time information and processes that aides in employee inquiry resolutions.
7. Provide training in of time entry and payroll data entry and understanding pay statements, etc.
8. Supplies payroll related data and documentation when requested by departments and/or external organizations.
9. Collaborate with team members to plan and organize meetings, workshops, and events, including scheduling, logistics, and materials preparation.
10. Maintain and update departmental records, databases, and filing systems, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
11. Perform general office duties, such as ordering supplies, managing inventory, and maintaining office equipment.
12. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree

WORK EXPERIENCE
At least 3 years working in the district/central office of a large urban school district

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
Work Leadership. Regularly provides project management or team leadership to a group of two or more employees but does not have formal supervisory responsibility. Leading and directing is restricted to monitoring work and providing guidance on escalated issues. Most of work time is spent performing many of the same duties they are leading.

Work is substantially complex, varied and regularly requires the selection and application of technical and detailed guidelines. Independent judgment is required to identify, select, and apply the most appropriate methods as well as interpret precedent. Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements.
