Job Title: Azure Cloud Architect
Location: Florida (Remote)
Job Description: Seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to join our team remotely from Florida. This role is pivotal in designing and implementing scalable, robust cloud architectures and supporting our cloud migration projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Azure, strong technical leadership skills, and the ability to mentor and guide a diverse team.
Roles & Responsibilities: - Design and implement scalable, robust infrastructure architectures on Azure.
- Lead and guide the technical aspects of cloud migration projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement technical solutions.
- Use DevOps tooling such as Bitbucket, Jira, Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, TeamCity, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, HashiStack, CloudFormation, ELK, Prometheus, Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, and Tivoli/Smart Cloud.
- Work with Terraform Enterprise and Kubernetes to manage and deploy infrastructure.
- Ensure High Availability and Disaster Recovery processes and testing in public cloud environments.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences at various levels within the organization.
- Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a collaborative and educational environment.
- Estimate work effort for project sub-plans or small projects and ensure successful project completion.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in cloud architecture and infrastructure.
Minimum Experience and Qualifications: - Certification: Azure Solution Architect Expert Certification (Az-303 & Az-304) and/or Azure Infrastructure Design (Az-305).
- 3+ years of experience working on Azure Cloud Migration projects.
- Demonstrated coding experience using Terraform.
- More than 3 years of experience as a Cloud Architect, Solution Architect, System Designer, or Technical Lead.
- 3+ years of experience in a distributed and heterogeneous computing environment (ZOS, UNIX, Windows).
- 3+ years of experience working with relational (and/or hierarchical) databases (Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
- Experience with modern software application technologies and DevOps tools.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take.
- Comfortable working with a globally diverse set of users, contractors, and partners.
Must-Have Skills: Certification: Azure Solution Architect Expert Certification (Az-303 & Az-304) and/or Azure Infrastructure Design (Az-305). 3+ years of experience in Azure Cloud Migration projects. Coding experience using Terraform.
