Salary: $50,000.00 AnnuallyLocation : Leesburg, FLJob Type: Full-time Regular StaffJob Number: 2425-00296Division: Academic AffairsDepartment: Academic AffairsOpening Date: 10/24/2024Working Conditions: General Working ConditionsLocation and Supervisor: Leesburg Campus, Amy AlbeeJob Summary The Coordinator of Assessment performs and coordinates assessment activities to support institutional effectiveness, continuous improvement, accreditation, and compliance. This position serves at the intersection of faculty, staff, and administration by serving as a resource for the college assessment program. The primary responsibilities of the role include monitoring the assessment program, assisting academic and service areas in creating assessment plans, serving as a resource for assessment planning for college committees, assist with oversight of program review, and course evaluations.Ability to demonstrate LSSC's core values of Caring, Communicating, Collaborating, and Celebrating when interacting with students, employees, visitors, and community members. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of assessment plans for workforce programs, general education, and administrative units.
  • Provide training and workshops for faculty and staff on effective assessment practices and the use of assessment tools.
  • Coordinate the collection, analysis, and reporting of assessment data to support academic and administrative units in improving performance.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and assist in the preparation of accreditation reports and self-studies.
  • Develop and maintain an assessment calendar, tracking deadlines and deliverables for academic programs and administrative units.
  • Serve as a resource to faculty and staff on assessment-related matters, providing guidance on the development and use of rubrics, surveys, and other assessment tools.
  • Participate in relevant institutional committees and contribute to broader institutional effectiveness efforts.
  • Assist in the use of assessment data for institutional planning, including strategic planning and program review.
  • Assist with the oversight of the program review process.
  • Oversee the course evaluation process.
  • Develop reports and presentations for assessment, program review, and course evaluations
  • Provide technical support for management software AEFIS/Heliocampus regarding course evaluations, program review and assessment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with people from a wide variety of educational and professional backgrounds. This includes preparing and presenting reports effectively.
  • Knowledge of effective assessment practices relating to academic and student services in higher education.
  • Demonstrated quantitative, qualitative, organizational, and technical skills adequate to design, monitor, and interpret assessment results.
  • Familiarity with student learning outcomes, assessment, and the related accreditation requirements.
  • Ability to gain the confidence and respect of diverse stakeholders in order to work effectively and build relationships of trust.
  • Knowledge and ability to oversee the management of assessment software (e.g., AEFIS/Heliocampus),
Minimum Qualifications & Education
  • Minimum Education: Master's degree from an accredited institution required in education, social sciences, statistics or related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience in a higher education or similar environment working in assessment or a related field.
