Job Description The Coordinator for Campus Visits & Prospective Student Events is responsible for creating a welcoming an inviting environment for all university visitors, with an emphasis on prospective students and families. This role manages the day-to-day operations of the Welcome Center and prospective student events, on-site oversight of student ambassadors and serving as a university representative to the public.
This position may pay more than the salary listed above depending on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate. Responsibilities: - Coordinate and schedule all daily campus visits, tours, and meetings for prospective students as well as groups. This will include proper and timely communication with guests, the office and campus, maintenance of the registration process, staffing, room reservations, the creation of special agendas and campus collaboration.
- Recruit and hire student employees via the Workday system. Mentor, train and supervise Student Tour Guides for daily tours. Establish work schedule for student workers. Ensure all students employees at all times follow policies and procedures appropriately.
- Inventory, maintain, request and restock recruitment materials and ensure the Welcome Center is presentable by requesting custodial services on a daily basis.
- Create, plan, implement, coordinate and/or assist with all on-campus prospective student events for enrollment management and virtual events as necessary in collaboration with the Director and other campus constituents.
- Maintain statistics of daily visitors to the university. Complies information into monthly, quarterly and annual reports. Responsible for assessment efforts and compiling and reviewing program evaluations. Suggests and implements any changes necessary as a result of program assessments and evaluations.
- Keeps abreast of current information about academic programs and related student services opportunities used to guide the student and school/college partners through the enrollment process.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience: - Bachelor's degree.
- Four years of related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
- Knowledge of admissions functions of higher education.
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- .Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to build relationships motivate students, faculty, and staff to support the highest-level visitation experience.
- Ability to work cooperatively and professionally with staff, students and faculty from all levels of the university.
Preferred Qualifications: - Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality.
