The role participates in the non-clinical counseling and case management services. The role plans and leads programming and educational opportunities for the University community and functions as a liaison and resource to faculty, staff, and residential life and housing operations. The Coordinator of CARE Services serves on the Health and Wellness team and supports CARE services and the on-call teams as directed.JOB DESCRIPTIONRESPONSIBILITIES:* Under the direction of the Associate Director of Campus Health and Wellness, administers and develops programs and services necessary for supporting students seeking counseling, mental health support, and general CARE services.* Serves as a resource for the university regarding mental health; provides information on community and local resources available to students.* Under the direction of the Associate Director of Campus Health and Wellness, plan and conduct training opportunities for faculty and campus staff.* Remain current regarding national trends, issues and literature related to mental health services in academia, including participating in professional development activities, researching best practices, and addressing transition issues for students entering postsecondary education.* Evaluate services and prepare reports to assess and communicate CARE program activities, services, and outcomes.* Under the direction of the Associate Director of Campus Health and Wellness, supports Disability Services as directed.* Schedules clinical counselors to meet with students.* Work with the Student Success Center to support students working with CARE services.* Coordinate CARE records management with attention to the protection of confidentiality of all student records.* Support testing services for students with disabilities* Provide support in student affairs-related planning and engagement efforts.* Provide support in conjunction with health and wellness education and outreach on campus.* Provide CARE and disability support for Residential Life and Housing Operations, including participation in the on-call emergency response rotation.* May perform other relevant duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:* Demonstrated experience developing and assessing educational campaigns.* Articulated understanding of trends and issues in collegiate mental health and wellness.* Experience working with students with disabilities.* Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations.* Ability to work within high-traffic and crisis situations.* Ability to communicate in a professional, diplomatic, empathetic, and tactful manner.* Ability to provide a high level of interactive and deliberative service to others.* Knowledge of disability laws and regulations.* Ability and desire to provide strong advocacy on behalf of students with disabilities.* Proven personal initiative, problem-solving skills, and customer service etiquette.* Ability to relate well with a diverse population, including students, parents, faculty, staff, and administrators.* Disposition and proven work ethic to handle busy work cycles, including evenings and weekends.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:* Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Services, or related field.* Three (3) years of relevant work experience.* Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:* Certification/Licensure State of FL Licensed Psychologist, or eligibility for FL licensure, as documented by out-of-state licensure.* Experience working with individuals with disabilities.REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR OTHER SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS OF LAW:* Must possess a valid driver's license.* This position requires a criminal background check, which may include a Level II screening as required by Florida Statute §435.04.* This position is subject to federal and state privacy regulations.NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: This position is salary exempt.
