Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions, correspondence, reports, etc.; prepare clear, concise and grammatically correct memos, reports, emails, and letters; prioritize workload and assignments; establish and maintain a complex and effective filing system; interact professionally and cordially with directors, faculty, staff, students and general public; analyze date/issues and determine effective solutions. Preferred QualificationsJob Description This position oversees the clinical placement of nursing students, provides support for the graduate nursing programs, and assists in new program development.Job Duties JOB OVERVIEW:This position is proactive in securing and coordinating the clinical placement of nursing undergraduate and graduate students, requesting appropriate accesses, and ensuring licensing and other requirements are met.JOB DUTIES:Coordinate undergraduate clinical placements for all students at all clinical sites by negotiating the number of and type of placements with other area nursing programs.Identify, evaluate, and advocate for advantageous undergraduate and graduate clinical placements by making in-person visits and using remote tools (email, phone, videoconferencing technologies). This includes building and establishing cordial and effective relationships with undergraduate and graduate clinical contacts.Collect and verify agreements with health care facilities and clinics, clinical partners, and preceptors.Assist in assigning students to clinical sites, preceptors, and shifts.Manage student compliance with practicum requirements and policies (e.g. site requirements, preceptor qualifications) for both undergraduate and graduate students. This includes distributing information to students, maintaining records of student compliance and submitting them to clinical sites, maintaining records of student clinical hours, and completing student attestation forms for clinical sites each semester.Maintain files and review for completeness, including the database of clinical sites and preceptors.Establish and maintain positive relationships with health care providers by addressing issues and demonstrating appreciation. Network with health care professionals to identify new potential affiliates.Crosstrain to provide administrative support for the graduate programs as needed.Compose and proofread correspondence, forms, and reports. Manage faculty compliance with licensure requirements, vaccinations and all other requirements specified in affiliation agreements.Participate in marketing and special events.Assist with special projects.Perform other duties as assigned.
