Responsibilities include supporting CTE programs growth and development, serving as a liaison to regional high schools and industry partners, providing academic services to internal and external constituents within the Southwest Campus region, and directing career-connected services.Position SummaryThe CTE Pathway and Career Coordinator will serve as a liaison for the CTE programs offered at the Southwest Pueblo Community College campus which include Agricultural, Health, Construction Trades, STEM, and Welding programs and any new programs that arise. This position will be responsible for implementing initiatives for CTE outreach, which is focused on special populations, non-traditional students and students in non-traditional fields. This position will support and inform stakeholders of CTE objectives, policies, procedures and outcomes of projects directed toward the success of students enrolled in CTE programs as well promote effective and efficient communication between PCC Southwest, other PCC campus locations, and the high schools within the community/service area in the Southwest region. The position will also work with regional employers to secure job shadows, internships, and apprenticeships for Pueblo Community College Southwest students. Job DutiesEssential Functions
- Outreach Initiatives: Develop and implement outreach initiatives specifically targeted at special populations, non-traditional students, and those pursuing education in CTE fields.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Inform and engage stakeholders about CTE program objectives, policies, procedures, and project outcomes aimed at ensuring the success of CTE students.
- Communication Facilitation: Foster effective and efficient communication between Pueblo Community College Southwest and other PCC campus locations, as well as with local high schools in the Southwest region.
- Industry Engagement: Collaborate with regional employers to establish opportunities such as job shadows, internships, and apprenticeships for Pueblo Community College Southwest students within the CTE programs.
- Grant and Funding Opportunities: Work with the Academic Services team to Identify and pursue grant and funding opportunities that support the growth and sustainability of CTE programs.
- Student Support: Provide guidance and support to CTE students, addressing their unique needs and challenges to enhance retention and graduation rates.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with faculty, administrators, and other college departments to facilitate the seamless operation of CTE programs and initiatives.

Minimum QualificationsEducation:
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in higher education or a related field.
Experience:
- Experience working in Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs or vocational education.
- Experience in CTE program development and management.
- Experience in designing and implementing outreach and recruitment initiatives.
- Experience in providing academic advising or support services to students, particularly those in non-traditional fields.
- Experience planning, organizing, and executing initiatives for coordinating outreach and program development efforts.
- Experience in establishing relationships with local/regional employers, industry associations, and workforce development agencies can be advantageous for securing job shadows, internships, and apprenticeships.
Special knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Knowledge, skill and ability to use and/or learn computer applications to include Microsoft (Word, Excel).
- Knowledge of educational regulations relevant to CTE programs
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Travel to regions across southwest Colorado served by PCCSW.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
