Job Summary:

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Serves as coordinator for the Graduate Medical Education Program

Job Duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Liaisons between program staff and hospital/facility administrators.
  • Ensures that all Residents are compliant with accreditation or regulatory agencies and assists in the processes of credentialing, re-credentialing, and or privileging.
  • Maintains and tracks Resident information, including files and educational reimbursements.
  • Coordinates, prepares for, and participates in meetings.
  • Assists in scheduling.
  • Generates reports as needed.
  • Reviews and manages internal requests for program.
  • Updates program information as needed.

LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Performs work under general supervision.
  • Handles moderately complex issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.
  • May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group
Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • An additional two (2) years of experience in a related field.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
