Position Purpose
Collaborate with internal and external partners to promote concepts of Digital Citizenship within Fort Worth ISD(FWISD). Manage, write, edit content, oversee and execute strategic social media initiatives. Responsible for monitoring social media and analyzing social media data and crisis communication.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
* Manage content for the Fort Worth ISD's social media presence, including but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Periscope, Snapchat, Pinterest, and YouTube.
* Manage technical and content support for all FWISD social media accounts and supervise account owners, including campus and department pages/accounts
* Collaborate with the Superintendent to manage all social media accounts, as well as, curate the Superintendent's blog.
* Troubleshoot, repair, and resolve technology issues on all Fort Worth ISD social media platforms.
* Monitor social media and positively engage with the District's online community.
* Develop content from the Fort Worth ISD's website (includes news releases, photo galleries, calendar information, spotlight/feature items, informational page content, contact information, etc.)
* Develop the Districts overall communication and media strategies related to high profile events for Fort Worth ISD and integrate marketing initiative with the Communications Department
* Edit and approve all social media content created and strategically tie all social media communication to the District's web standards, branding and style guidelines
* Plan, coordinate, collaborate and develop components for special projects; coordinate projects with other departments when necessary.
* Initiate and prepare all routine correspondence and reports related to the District's digital engagement strategies
* Provide advice and guidance to staff with respect to procedures, processes, and practices; coordinate with other departments as necessary.
* Develop, implement, support, and identify communications strategies and campaigns for the Fort Worth ISD
* Track, report, and analyze all social media platform analytics
* Take a leadership role in the growth and success of existing and emerging social media platforms
* Work with Accountability and Data Quality Department to increase participation in District surveys through a focused campaign of awareness and calls to action
* Embrace the Baldrige Model of Continuous Improvement and PDSA - Plan, Do, Study, Act - as a daily mantra of work that sets the expectation with the employees on the team
* Share responsibility for the maintenance of a responsive, customer-centered culture in the department and promote the concept of a cross-functional team in which all voices are valued

Safety
* Performs preventive maintenance on tools and equipment and ensures equipment is in safe operating condition.

Travel Requirements
* Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.

Minimum Required Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in English, Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, Media Arts or a related field required.
* Certification/License: None.
* Experience:
* 3+ years' experience coordinating digital engagement and/or marketing
* Language: Bilingual (English/Spanish) working proficiency preferred in some settings.
