Position Purpose The Learning Commons Coordinator assists the Learning Commons Manager in the daily operations of the Learning Commons. The Learning Commons Coordinator is primarily responsible for administering the Writing Center and Online Writing Lab ( OWL ) services provided to UCM students. The position serves as the instructor of record for UNIV 1400 University Foundations, a UNIV course appropriate to one's background, and assists the Learning Commons Manager in recruiting and training student tutors including embedded tutors and supplemental instructors. The Learning Commons Coordinator assures a high degree of constituent service is provided in a walk-in model, on an appointment basis, and to online students. This position produces marketing materials for the entire Learning Commons to actively promote services as well as connect with students.
