Job Description:
Job Title:Merchandising Coordinator, Women's Ready to Wear JOB PURPOSE Responsible for supporting the business strategy, buying process, allocation and distribution of Women's Ready to Wear in the Americas Boutiques in accordance with total company strategic business plans. TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Merchandising Functions
  • Review weekly sales reports ensuring planned sales and stretch are achieved
  • Recommend opportunities to place reorders in Women's Ready to Wear
  • Assist in buffer management and stock rebalances
  • Review and follow up with shipping and deliveries
  • Support in new store openings and pop ups
  • Manage inventory for store events
  • Support Ready to Wear Team on Weekly/Monthly Sales, Receipt and Stock forecasting
  • Assist in markdown preparations (recommend styles to markdown)
  • Support in Seasonal Reserve process: buy book creation, communication and follow up with boutiques, ensuring client orders are filled accurately, strategically adjust allocations
  • Develop a strong understanding of market dynamics and needs through store visits and seasonal competitor analysis
  • Communicate and Partner very closely with Retail teams on client needs and day to day inquiries
  • Work with Ready to Wear Team on effective communication with the Paris central merchandising team to provide feedback and outline needs of the market
  • Participate in 4 seasonal markets:
    • Assist in premarket analysis: by store, classification and sizing
    • Aggregate boutique feedback before and after collection is presented
    • Assist in defining store assortment by product category and by store cluster
    • Size by SKU and by Boutique based on analysis and boutique feedback/requests for top clients and market opportunities
    • Remain positive, energetic, and organized while meeting tight deadlines during high-paced and demanding buying sessions

  • Prepare weekly reports and newsletters
  • Prepare and review fast/slow sellers report
  • Prepare and review sell through report
  • Prepare seasonal collection and sizing feedback for stores
  • Provide end of season (EOS) product analysis and recaps
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to deliver tight deadlines while being detail oriented
  • Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with cross functional partners
  • Ability to think creatively when analyzing the business
  • Excellent organizational skills and drive for results
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment with self-motivated mentality
  • Ability utilize retail programs necessary to perform the job
  • Flexibility to react quickly to changing demands of business
  • Technical ability to manage merchandising software

REQUIREMENTS:
  • At least 2 years prior Merchandising/Buying experience, luxury retail preferred; strong working knowledge of Retail Math and Retail KPIs
  • Advanced Excel (heavy excel workload)
  • Ability for frequent domestic and international travel
  • Strong knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs
