The College Readiness Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing all academic components of the Future Ready program. In support of that work, the person in this role will manage school partnerships, the afterschool tutoring program, College Academy, and college-related enrichments and trips. The College Readiness Coordinator will also support the transition to college for college-bound high school students and assist with EnCompass initiatives that promote and facilitate college and career access for all high school participants. To encourage college persistence, this coordinator will assist youth navigators in providing direct, individualized guidance and resources to first-year post-graduation students and their families.Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support the part-time academic staff
- Design and implement College Academy for high school juniors and seniors as they prepare for college
- Plan, organize, and support the implementation of college visits for existing high school students
- Create and update college resources for students and their families
- Collaborate with Coordinator of Career Readiness and Youth Navigators to support first-year post-graduation students as they transition into the workforce/college community
- Plan and host college-focused parent nights on topics related to applications, financial aid, etc.
- Plan and facilitate Summer Transition Series for college-bound high school graduates
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with local high schools and colleges; facilitate regular check-ins to support alignment and shared vision
- Collaborate with school partners to connect students to resources, events, and opportunities including but not limited to: building college lists, college application assistance, personal statement writing, financial aid applications, and decisions
- Gather student data from partnering schools; assign academic supports as appropriate
- Review, synthesize, and report out on relevant datapoints (e.g., Regents scores, report card grades, credit accumulation, GPA, program attendance, etc.)
- Supervise and facilitate on-site programming by being present for academic tutoring, college-focused enrichments, and special events, including occasional weekend events and an annual multi-day overnight trip
- Attend external meetings for professional associations and partnerships, when appropriate
- Additional responsibilities as needed

Qualifications:
- Minimum -
- Bachelor's degree in education or relevant field
- 3 years of experience working with youth in a professional capacity
- Experience in a diverse professional setting
- Valid NYS driver's license
- Preferred -
- Master's degree in education, school counseling, social work, or relevant field
- Experience managing programs and developing and/or supervising staff
Schedule:
- Typical business hours schedule with occasional weekend events.
- Annual multi-day overnight trip
Salary:
- $53,248-$75,254/based on experience
