Salary: $53,325.00 - $71,100.00 AnnuallyLocation : NormalJob Type: Full-TimeJob Number: 202300483Department: College of Business and Public AffairsOpening Date: 11/18/2024Description Summary:Responsible for overseeing thedailyoperational tasks fortheprogram which includespreparingstudentsfor ELO placements by providingcareer coachingas well asdeveloping andmaintaining relationships with industry partners and communityorganizations. The Coordinator will help develop strategies to increase student engagement and awareness as well as faculty and staff involvement. Examples of Duties Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for managingthe student intake,assessment and placement process toinclude applications, screenings and pairingstudents with opportunities aligned with their major.
  • Responsible for managingtheemployer engagement processto include scopeof workdocuments, ELO expectations, site visits, and on going relationship management.
  • Responsible for assisting students by conducting individual advisement sessions to include developing a professional action plan, discussing professional etiquette and image,assisting with ELO search strategies and interview skills.
  • Leads all internal marketing efforts to ensure student awareness ofELO program to include coordinating andconducting professional development workshops with industry partners to ensure career-readiness.
  • Assist with drafting, proofreading,and editing grant proposals and completing grant applications.
  • Responsible for overseeing administrative support functions,document processing and maintenance of theELO database and file system.
  • Responsible for supervising ELO volunteers and student workers as they provide support services to program participants.
Typical Qualifications Minimum PositionRequirements (including certifications, license, etc.)
  • Master of Business Administration or Master of Science in Management degree.
  • Combination of business-related background with minimum of 1-3 years of work experience in career coaching, advising, human resources and/or project coordination.
Supplemental Information Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration, problem-solving, analytical, and notable leadership abilities.
