Coordinator of Faith Formation at Holy Cross Catholic Church (Lynchburg)

Holy Cross Catholic Church is seeking Coordinator of Faith Formation (CFF). Are you the right applicant for this opportunity Find out by reading through the role overview below.The CFF is responsible for the coordination of the Sunday morning parish education program for children in grades K-9. The CFF is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of age-appropriate catechetical programming including sacramental preparation. The CFF supports the Faith Formation mission of the parish and works closely with the Director of Faith Formation. The CFF advocates for and supports parents as primary catechists while encouraging family engagement in the life of the parish. The CFF promotes good public relations both within and beyond the parish and is involved in Diocesan events

The position is a 30 hour, full-time position with benefits.

Requirements include:

• Practicing Roman Catholic, active in the parish faith community
• Bachelor's Degree in Theology or Religious Education preferred
• Experience in parish religious education or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Willingness to engage in ongoing faith formation
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and technological skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Motivated, self-starter, able to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
• Able to work independently and in a multicultural environment

Compensation is based on education and experience.
