SUMMARY: Office Profile: The Masters in Coaching and Athletics Administration (MCAA) program prepares coaches, athletic administrators and educators for service in public, parochial, and private schools, colleges, universities and in other athletic positions. Currently the program serves over five hundred graduate students throughout the world. The MCAA program offers classes via onsite, online, and blended delivery method. The MCAA's outreach program is essential to the growth of the program as it deals with our current nation-wide partnerships along with exploring and creating new opportunities and markets for us to be viable in. This position also entails arranging for MCAA events nation-wide and our own California Coaches Conference. ROLE: The Coordinator of Program Outreach's primary roles are to coordinate and execute outreach efforts, manage MCAA social media, provide additional technical support for management learning systems, and actively contribute to MCAA staff meetings. As a valued leader for Concordia University Masters in Coaching and Athletics Administration program, this position works supportively and collegially with university faculty, administration, staff, and the community. The overarching purpose of this role is to take this highly recognized program to broader and greater levels of service around the nation, understanding that all MCAA activities are to make a significant contribution to the fulfillment of the mission of the university. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: The successful candidate will have a Master's degree, with experience in teaching, coaching, athletics, and athletics administration, including 3 years of experience in athletic administration at the collegiate or secondary level and 3 years of successful participation in coaching at the collegiate or secondary level. - Reports to the Director of the MCAA Program
- Interacts and functions cooperatively with CUI staff, faculty, and the athletic community
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Coordinator for Program Outreach's primary duties include the following: Quality Maintenance
Create and implement plans that foster growth of the MCAA program's enrollment and resources Assist with strategic partnerships such as iHeart Media, CIF, and other potentially strategically beneficial organizations Manage and update when necessary the California Coaches Conference and MCAA websites with the marketing team Continue to build a national brand for this distinctive program Public Relations and Marketing
Provide representation for the MCAA program with the following: - Local and national sports governing boards
- At events that are important to MCAA
- Current and prospective students and alumni
- School districts and athletic associations such as CIF
- Other institutions of higher education/athletic departments
- Appropriate national professional and political organizations
- The other schools and programs of the university
- The faculty, staff, and administration of the university
Organization
Assess program operations for efficiency and effectiveness Assist in providing leadership for the MCAA administrative team Design, implement, and/or assess, through the administrative team, new programs and delivery systems for all the areas of the program Supervision
Help direct and manage all aspects of the MCAA's California Coaches Conference Develop and Manage the operations and logistics of all events such as Information Nights, Selected Conferences, Alumni gatherings, graduation ceremonies Help manage MCAA Social Media and MCAA Newsletter Manage MCAA Term Preparation for all staff and Faculty Planning
Monitor marketing trends and plan for appropriate changes within the school's programs that meet the market demand within the context of the university's mission and strategic plan Provide the university with projected MCAA needs within the framework of the school's vision and the university's mission and strategic plan Coordinate with CUI Admissions and Marketing Departments Other duties may be assigned
