The Coordinator of Residential Services (Part-Time, Live-In, 10-month Position) plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the Office of Residence Life at Drew University. This position manages Tipple Hall (our family and grad housing), manages the departmental email account, and assists with essential tasks such as residence hall openings and closing, health and safety inspections, and program development. The coordinator fosters a welcoming community by collaborating on residence life initiatives and providing administrative support, helping to enhance the student residential experience. Additionally, they serve on the 24 hour on-call duty rotation to assist with crisis management and emergencies on campus.Responsibilities:
- Manages the departmental email account, assist with residence hall openings and closings, check-ins and check-outs, health and safety inspections, room changes, occupancy management
- Answers phones, support staff and supervisor with any additional projects and tasks.
- Other duties as assigned
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of Tipple Hall, including the management of the CA, ensuring a safe, welcoming, clean, living environment for residents
- Assists in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of residence life programs and events
- Participates in the on-call duty rotation to respond to emergencies and manage crises, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents
- Creates marketing materials, emails, and flyers to promote residence life initiatives and programs to the student community

- Be able to coordinate community and campus-wide programming and events
- Must be able to manage a budget
- Must be able to respond to inquiries via phone, e-mail, as well as in person
- Mus t be able to welcome and orient new students, handle emergency situations in a calm demeanor
- Must be able to effectively advertise programs and communicate policies to students
Education:
- Bachelor's degree required OR equivalent four (4) year college or university OR one (1) to two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience OR
- Master's degree in student Affairs/Higher Education related field
