For more information, visit us online at gcsu.edu.Job SummaryThe position will provide support to the Associate Provost for Student Engagement and Academic Excellence and the Director of Mentored Undergraduate Research and Creative Endeavors (MURACE) in advancing the University's undergraduate research activities.This will include responsibilities in event planning, coordinating student travel, budget management, data collection, communication, and other administrative support.ResponsibilitiesCoordination of Student Travel - 25 Provide administrative support in the application of funds, student travel and reimbursement process for travel.Managing Research Related Events - 25 Organize and manage Research Day activities and support GCSU sponsored research activities like the Posters at the Capitol and internal programming.Data Collection & Assessment of research related activities - 15Programmatic Communication. - 15Budget Management for Student Travel - 10Other Administrative Support - 10Required QualificationsEducational RequirementsBachelor's degree with a minimum of one to three years in data collection and project management experience required.Required ExperienceThe position requires strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and effective communication, organizational, and time management skills.Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesABILITIESThis position will work with offices and departments across the University and specifically with staff, faculty, and students.To accomplish the duties of the position, a candidate should have strong abilities in:Attention to detailOrganizationAbility to multi-taskEffective communicator, both written and oralSKILLSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must have advanced-level computer skills using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams and Office 365).
