Job Overview: The Point of Care POC Coordinator supports Point of Care testing throughout New Brunswick Campus under the direction of the Point of Care Supervisor, Serves as technical consultant to help troubleshoot POC testing and computer issues, Assist staff in POC testing and assures staff maintain annual competency, Performs spot checks to ensure sites are meeting POC regulatory requirements such as dating reagents and discarding expired testing supplies, Manages supply chain for POC testing supplies in POC software, Maintains POC testing equipment and instruments Maintains organized records of training, competency, and technical issues, Remains up to date on POC regulations, manufacturer s instructions, and best practices, Builds and maintains positive relationships with patient care team and staff, Supports and or leads improvement projects to optimize quality and efficiency, May include other duties as assigned,Qualifications:Required:* Education: BA/BS Degree in Medical Technology and /or related science.* Experience: 3 to 5 years clinical laboratory experience.Preferred:* National certification preferable.Scheduling Requirements:* Full TimeChoosing RWJBarnabas Health!RWJBarnabas Health is the premier health care destination providing patient-centered, high-quality academic medicine in a compassionate and equitable manner, while delivering a best-in-class work experience to every member of the team.
