Advises and counsels students from defined local area about YSU admission, policy, procedures, and programs of study. Utilizes experience in secondary education within that region to introduce YSU to new populations. Position InformationEssential Functions and Responsibilities: Plans and implements recruitment strategies for an assigned geographic recruitment area. Establishes enrollment goals for the recruitment area in consultation with the Associate Director; provides periodic regular reports on activities and the progress towards established goals. Cultivates effective working relationships with high school college counselors; attends college fairs and schedules high school visits within the geographic recruiting area. Meets and communicates with prospective students to provide information regarding YSU admission policy and procedures and programs of study to the point of enrollment.Meets with YSU faculty and academic department staff to develop a working knowledge regarding YSU programs of study.Attends meetings with YSU admission and recruitment staff. Attends on campus recruitment programs.Other Functions and Responsibilities: Performs other related duties as assigned.Equipment Operated: Computer and all other standard office equipment.Work Schedule: 10-month appointment from August 16th to June 15th annually with flexible hours.
