Servicesencompass federal, state, and local programs that support veteran andmilitary-connected students. Ensures programs comply with College and governmental regulationsDUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES
- *Develops, coordinates, implements and evaluates processes and services in conjunction with Collegewide Director, Veterans & Military Connected Services
- *Reviews student applications and credentials, and processes documentation as required to certify eligible veteran and military connected students
- *Establishes and maintains all appropriate files
- *Provides support to students and assists with the recruitment and retention of new students in conjunction with other Veteran and Military Connected Services team members
- *May attend and facilitates information events for populations interested in College programs
- *Maintains internal and external information and reporting systems to support and facilitate the operations of the specialized student groups including but not limited to VA Enrollment Manager, Ohio Department of Education, as well as information pertaining to specific programs such as Ohio National Guard Scholarship
- *Anticipates and meets all customer needs accurately, professionally, and with a commitment to customer satisfaction
- Serves as an SCO (School Certifying Official) as required by the Veterans Administration. Must attain and maintain appropriate certifications as required for federal reporting
- May audit records as required by government regulations
- May serve as liaison between College, students, the Veterans Affairs department and/or other external and state agencies
- May process the distribution of funds electronically for military students and their dependents for educational benefits through VA Enrollment Manager or other external government providers
- May coordinate VA orientation program for new and continuing students
- May provide functional supervision to part-time staff and/or students workers
- Performs other related duties as assigned

- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of two (2) years progressive student services/special programs experience in an educational institution.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Skills in keyboarding, basic math and grammar, and standard level word processing (MS Word) and spreadsheet applications (MS Excel).Ability to use virtual meeting platforms to communicate with students.
- Excellent customer service skills and proven ability to develop and sustain productive customer relationships.
- Must have sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of a diverse population.

- Database Management and presentation software skills
- Banner navigation experience
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDSMust be able to occasionally stand; and lift up to ten (10) pounds unassisted. Must be able to frequently sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach withhands and arms; and talk or hear. Special vision requirements include ability to adjust focus. Must be able to work in an environment with a moderate noise level.
