Discover a more connected Copper Splicing careerAt Lambert Cable Splicing, as a Copper Splicer II, you'll connect and maintain copper wire networks for telecommunications, ensuring reliable phone and internet services by skillfully splicing and repairing connections.Connecting you to great benefitsWeekly PaychecksPaid Time Off, Parental Leave, and HolidaysInsurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance)401(k) w/ Company MatchStock Purchase PlanEducation ReimbursementLegal InsuranceDiscounts on gym memberships, pet insurance, and much more!What you'll do as a Copper Splicer IIPerform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and undergroundTest, activate, and troubleshoot the network's circuit post-installationEnsure all splicing operations meet strict customer and industry standardsSafely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the airRepair out-of-service drops or cable cuts as necessaryProvide guidance to other splicers, as neededComplete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checksDocument work performed through daily production reports, including marking up maps and keeping correct material usage recordsOther duties as assignedWhat you'll needTo be 18 years of age or olderAuthorization to work in the United States for this companyHigh School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experienceValid State driver's license (cannot be considered Provisional), including an acceptable driving recordMust be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical cardAt least two years of copper splicing experienceAdditional qualificationsCertified pole climber or capable of demonstrating proficiency as a pole climber, is preferredKnowledge of telecommunications network structurePhysical abilities & exposuresRoutinely: operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, repetitive hand motion, work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 poundsOccasionally: work in confined spaces, use ladder, keyboard and mouseWhy work with usYour career here is more than just a job â it's your pathway to opportunity.
