Discover a more connected Copper Splicing careerAt VCI Construction, LLC as a Copper Splicer, you'll connect and maintain copper wire networks for telecommunications, ensuring reliable phone and internet services by skillfully splicing and repairing connections.Connecting you to great benefitsWeekly PaychecksPaid Time Off, Parental Leave, and HolidaysInsurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance)401(k) w/ Company MatchStock Purchase PlanEducation ReimbursementLegal Insurance What you'll do as a Copper SplicerWith guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and undergroundTest, activate, and troubleshoot equipment post-installationEnsure all splicing operations meet strict customer and industry standardsSafely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the airComplete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checksDocument work performed through daily production reports, including marking up maps and keeping correct material usage recordsOther duties as assigned What you'll need To be 18 years of age or olderAuthorization to work in the United States for this companyHigh School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experienceValid State driver's license (cannot be considered Provisional), including an acceptable driving record Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical cardSix months of copper splicing experience or one year of experience in the telecommunications industryAdditional qualificationsCertified pole climber or capable of demonstrating proficiency as a pole climber, is preferredPhysical abilities & exposuresRoutinely: operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 poundsOccasionally: work in confined spaces, use ladder, keyboard and mouse Salary Range $25 - $37 / hourWhy work with usYour career here is more than just a job - it's your pathway to opportunity.
