Overview:

We're looking for a talented Junior Copywriter enthusiastic about the opportunity to spread the Good Life across all types of written communication. The ideal candidate is someone with a quick, creative mind, a way with words and a passion for both brand and product storytelling. Learning, understanding and implementing the brand's unique voice is essential, as is being detail-oriented, motivated and able to take ownership of assigned projects.

The Junior Copywriter will turn product information and seasonal campaign objectives into compelling content that captures the brand's unique point-of-view and helps reach company goals. This role requires hitting deadlines, managing multiple projects, working collaboratively with cross-functional partners and remaining agile in a fast-moving environment. Additionally, strategic thinking, problem-solving skills and a consumer-forward mentality are a must.

This is an entry-level role with a lot of responsibilities and opportunities to shine. Big ideas, a positive approach and a buy-in to the Every Day Should Feel This Good mindset are always encouraged.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Write clear, error-free, compelling copy for various consumer and internal projects, including (but not limited to): full-price emails, promotional campaigns, retail signage, paid social media, organic social captions and stories; vineyard vines OUTLET & retail locations; new store openings, custom and wholesale campaigns and select special campaigns as needed.
  • Take ownership of editing and uploading online product detail page copy (PDPs), including writing romance copy, copy editing, product naming, uploading information and regularly proofing vineyardvines.com for accuracy.
  • Attention to detail, with a knack for finding the right words for the right situation.
  • Partner with merchandising, design and other cross-functional partners to gather key product info and inspiration on a season-by-season basis.
  • Be a champion of the brand's voice, ensure that all copy is engaging, inspiring and authentic.
  • Help strategize, brainstorm and bring new ideas and storytelling opportunities to the table.
  • Partner with copy and design teams to concept seasonal campaigns, research Real Good People and craft storylines to drive seasonal messaging across channels.
  • Stay up-to-date with current trends in the marketplace and pull regular copy examples to share out with the team.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications or a related field
  • 1-2 years writing experience preferably in retail, fashion or editorial
  • A portfolio of work showcasing your creative chops across multiple platforms and channels
  • Impeccable spelling, grammar and proofreading skills
  • Understanding of marketing, media and UX
  • Ability to respond to feedback with a positive, results-driven attitude
  • Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem solving and presentation skills
  • A solution-oriented approach and an entrepreneurial attitude
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects under tight deadlines and manage time appropriately
