Robert Battle, Artistic Director, continues the pioneering work of Alvin Ailey and furthers the development of a cultural community which provides dance performances, training, and community programs for all people.The Ailey organization has a rich and inspiring history rooted in African-American traditions and provides young people with a range of role models within its group of experienced instructors. Ailey Extension employs part-time instructors to teach students on its weekly schedule classes.Ailey Extension instructor reports to the Director, Lisa Johnson-Willingham and is responsible for supporting the mission of the Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation and providing the highest caliber instruction to all students.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Instructors should demonstrate expertise working in a particular dance technique(s) as a professional artist and educator.
