This 160,000 square foot expansion will continue to bring world-class academic medicine, cutting-edge technology, and innovative treatment options to the rapidly growing Doral community. UHealth at Doral will have services through the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, and the Desai Sethi Urology Institute, as well as specialties such as cardiology, endocrinology, otolaryngology, gastroenterology, dermatology, and more. The expansion will provide residents with innovative, specialized medical services in the heart of their community. Once complete, UHealth at Doral will have 8 operating rooms, 3 endoscopy procedure rooms, 33 cancer treatment bays, over 60 multidisciplinary exam rooms, and supporting ancillary services like imaging, lab, and respiratory therapy. UHealth at Doral will open in September, 2024.CORE JOB FUNCTIONSCreates and assesses the daily schedule to plan optimal staff utilization and functioning of the operative schedule. Maintains effective lines of communication with all necessary personnel and surgical services departments. Notifies surgeons, anesthesiologists, SPU and PACU personnel of time changes and added operative cases. Communicates all staffing needs and scheduling changes to appropriate supervisory personnel. Anticipates potential scheduling problems and exhibits proactive management. Estimates room and time availability for schedule changes and/or added cases. Documents data regarding problematic areas on master schedule. Coordinates delivery of appropriate specimens to the Pathology Department. Resolves daily narcotic discrepancies and prepares a weekly discrepancy report. Maintains accurate documentation of required quality control and department logs. Attends departmental and unit based meetings or acknowledges review of notes and minutes. Participates in hospital risk management program by reporting all unusual occurrences.
