Job Description:
The Manager Core Lab assists in training and troubleshooting for the various testing platforms in the Core Lab areas. Platforms include Dimension EXL, Vista, Centaur, DXH, ACL Top, and Ortho as well as urinalysis, blood gas, and anesthesia stat lab areas. The position will be both a supervisory role as well as technical resource for the section managers of Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Blood Bank, and Specimen Processing. Assures existing and new laboratory procedures are approved, performed correctly and reported properly. Affects improvements, insures quality of apparatus, equipment and materials. Maintains efficient record systems and performs related duties in the best interests of laboratory services to patients. Supervises staff and holds them accountable for yielding reliable patient laboratory results.
