Description:Title: CORE and Vocational Services SupervisorReports to: Assistant Director of Social Programs Location: Leprechaun - New Windsor, NYJob Objectives: Provide support to the Vocational and CORE (Community Oriented Recovery and Empowerment) Services programs. Supervise CORE and Vocational Services direct support staff. Vocational and CORE Family Support and Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services are being offered to MHA participants as appropriate. Maximize billable services for the Vocational and CORE Services programs. Support a caseload of Vocational and CORE clients. Perform duties while actively promoting an environment consistent with MHA's Cultural Equity Policy and WELCOME Orange.Represent MHA (Mental Health Association in Orange County) at various community functions as needed.*Direct supervision of stated positions and oversight of stated programs are periodically re- evaluated and may change subject to the discretion of Executive Director.Responsibilities: The CORE and Vocational Supervisor functions as a member of an integrated team to assist individuals with serious mental illness eliminate functional deficits and interpersonal/environmental barriers to restore their functioning and integration in their family, community, or culture. Providers deliver face to face person-centered, recovery-oriented, solution focused interventions in individual or group settings.Work in conjunction with the CORE Clinician and the Assistant Director of Social Programs to ensure Vocational and CORE Services are being offered to Social Programs participants if appropriate.Oversee and provide vocational services through ACCES-VR Supported Employment Contract and Extended Service for individuals with psychiatric disabilities (i.e. job development, job coaching, developing contacts, etc.).Oversee and facilitate Vocational and CORE groups at Hudson House. Provide weekly employer outreach and engagement.Supports and restores social and interpersonal skills needed to sustain independent community living with a focus on employment or educational goals. Enhances social skills such as engagement, conversation and listening skills and builds on support networks. Increases community awareness through identification and pursuit of interests, resources, and natural supports. Provides individual psychoeducation and skill building to assist in developing personal autonomy, such as learning to manage stress, symptoms, relapse triggers, free time and pursuing leisure interests. As applicable, teaches pre-vocational concepts such as work compliance, attendance, task completion, problem solving, and safety; coordinate activities that would support job attainment and retention; provide learning and work experiences that strengthen soft skills. Organize and maintain all CORE/Vocational program information and volunteer files.Supports comfortable interactions with health care professionals and establishes positive health routines and practices. Oversees and assists in the improvement of health wellness and personal self-care activities, inclusive of meal planning, healthy shopping, meal preparation, grooming, managing finances and other functions of living independently. Monthly billing for CORE Psychosocial Rehabilitation, CORE Family Support and Vocational services.Complete monthly data collection information.Maintains all client records electronically through Foothold Technology and Electronic Record Keeping.Maintain all client files according to program policies and procedures.Establishes and maintains linkage with appropriate community agencies and service providers.Actively participates in team meetings and other tasks as assigned. Other Duties:In the spirit of teamwork, answer MHA's main office phone as needed.Participate in MHA's committees as needed. Other functions may be assigned, and management retains the right to add or change the duties at any time.Requirements:Qualifications: Master's degree or a currently matriculated student pursuing a degree in social work, psychology, human services or related field OR Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, human services, or related field AND a minimum of two years' experience providing services to individuals with a serious mental illness or substance use disorder in direct care positions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability and willingness to travel. Experience providing employment support, education support or vocational assistance.Experience using Motivational Interviewing and trauma informed practices. Experience navigating an Electronic Health Record required. Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred but not required.Supervisory experience preferred but not required.Must be organized, self-motivated and able to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.Terms of employment/benefits:ExemptForty (40) hours per week.Mental Health Association in Orange County, Inc.
