Corporate Compliance & Regulatory Affairs ManagerArclin USA is seeking talent for a Corporate Compliance and Regulatory Affairs Manager. Reporting into the Sr. Director of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs, the Compliance & RA Manager will be responsible for ensuring global and local compliance of Arclin's products from development through manufacture and transportation to our customers, while balancing business risks and needs.The candidate will have strong Product Compliance and EHS experience, able to support program audits and develop associated management systems for both product and EHS compliance.This position has no direct reports and must lead through influencing others. Corporate Compliance & Regulatory Affairs Manager Responsibilities
- Oversee and update company procedures and documents associated to product regulatory compliance for development of a regulatory affairs strategy across Arclin business units. Keep leadership team updated on new and emerging regulation and associated risks/opportunities on raw materials, finished products, and chemicals of concern.
- Knowledgeable of global product compliance regulations such as GHS, TSCA, OSHA, GHS, HAZ COM,REACH/RoHS directive; licensing and reporting requirements.
- Partner with business teams to manage product, ESG, Sustainability requests and develop associated management systems.
- Strong Global Harmonization System (GHS) for managing overall SDS system, approval and preparation program directly or with contract resource and conduct compliance audits.Track, Manage and investigate any EHS product complaints (TSCA and any others) and conduct appropriate notifications.Partner with R&T, Sales and Customer Service to ensure tracking systems are in place.
- Perform assessment of applicable regulatory new and/or revised products. Determine hazard classifications of finished products and any impact to Arclin sites or systems
- Knowledgeable of DOT/FRA/Haz Mat , US and Global transport regulatory experience for development and maintenance of management systems and audits; including customer security and transportation audits, as required by regulation
- Able to determine labeling, placarding and shipping documentation requirements for domestic and international regulation compliance (DEA, CWC, DOT, FRA, IATA, among others) for entry into Arclin transportation and tracking systems
- Oversee and submit product licensing for global manufacture, import and export (DEA, CWC, REACH others, as applicable). Audit and maintain company licensing and certifications
- Track and develop systems for chemical inventories for regulatory reporting (SARA, TRI, EPA, DEA, DOT, CWC, TSCA, among others)
- Environmental permitting experience (Title V, NPDES, Stormwater, among others). Able to audit associated regulations
- Manage aspects ofArclin audit program - Knowledgeable in EPA, OSHA, Seveso and international equivalents.
- Support ESG program continuous improvement, training and initiatives.Alert in Global Sustainability product stewardship regulations as they emerge. Able to provide guidance and support to EHS manufacturing operations in complex compliance matters as appropriate.
- Experienced in managing EHS programs at bulk chemical manufacturing facilities, multi-facility support and interface with chemical processes, associated chemical hazards and IH exposure evaluations preferred.
EH&S Manager Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Engineering or other STEM related field.
- 10+ years' experience in environmental, health, safety, industrial hygiene and product compliance regulations (TSCA, OSHA, HAZCOM, REACH/RoHS, DEA, CWC, GHS), including regulatory processes such as restriction, authorization, risk management options analysis and product bans
- Customer focused - internal and external (R&T, Sales, Customer Service, EHS)
- Experience with environmental permitting preferred
- Proficient in interpreting regulations and applying to business; capable of translating to management teams and sites
- DOT/FRA, Transport Canada experience, EU regulations
- Detail Oriented and able to handle multiple tasks in fast paced environment.Able to adapt to changing priorities.
- Microsoft Office including Advanced Excel skills; able to learn software and databases quickly
- Must be able to maintain collaborative working relationships with management, plant staff, and colleagues.
- Must be able to travel 30%; must be available to respond to incidents and/or provide coverage after hours, as required.
- Ability to operate safely in a manufacturing environment; this may include, but is not limited to potentially lifting up to 20 lbs., standing for extended periods of time bending, crouching, stooping, rotating, climbing stairs, or any combination of the aforementioned, etc.
