Job Description:

Overview:

This Accountant handles general accounting functions including accounts payable review, accounts receivable review, general ledgers, and assists in monthly closes. This position reports to Accounting Manager and/or Controller.

Responsibilities:
  • Monthly review of assigned profit centers income statements.
  • Analyzes and reconciles balance sheet accounts and takes ownership of differences and potential process changes.
  • Provides assistance on the monthly close, interacting with various departments and levels of management.
  • Prepares various financial reports for management and operations.
  • Enters journal entries, coordinates accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Builds effective relationships with operation management.
  • Participate in yearly external audits.
  • Assists on projects or duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • At least 2-5 years of experience in the accounting profession
  • 2 years of experience in General Ledger
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access is preferred
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience in Lawson Accounting Software/CSF a plus
  • 5-10% travel to field offices annually

We are excited to share that the base salary range for this position is $67,572.96- $90,097.28. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, targeted at 3%. NFI takes into consideration applicants' qualifications, experience, education, and geographic location when determining a starting rate of pay.
