Corporate AccountantDuties and Responsibilities: The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include but may not be limited to the following. Additional duties may be assigned depending upon the needs of the business. Assist in day-to-day tasks related to the corporate accounting department and special projects as needed.
Banking - Verify / Approve supplier payments through the bank portal
- Update daily cash reports
- Upload check positive pay file weekly
- Reconcile bank accounts on monthly basis
General Accounting - Prepare manual intercompany invoices and related journal entries
- Enter foreign exchange rates in ERP system
- Review purchasing and invoice activity to ensure expense coding is correct
- Complete month-end journal entries for the Americas (US/Canada/Mexico) team.
- Analyze month-end reports including intercompany and reconcile any differences
- Complete various balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations
- Provide monthly reports to other departments within the organization
- Complete translations, eliminations and consolidations as part of month-end close
- Provide support for special projects and system testing as needed
Payroll - Assist US Payroll Manager with tasks needed to complete biweekly payroll
- Serve as backup to Payroll Manager for payroll processing
- Review timecards and note discrepancies
- Enter/update payroll information such as pay increases, benefit changes, and taxes.
Candidate Qualifications: Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles Completed applicable accounting/finance/business related courses Understand basic functionality of ERP systems (general ledger, sub-ledger, etc.) Proficient skill level in Microsoft Office products and Adobe Understand Excel tools (pivot tables) and formulas (lookups, sum-ifs, etc.) Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Ability to identify trends and deviations Strong written and verbal communication skills Position located in Eureka, MO Hybrid office / work from home after 3 - 4 month on-site training period Domestic travel required for the initial 3-4 months (once or twice a month), limited travel after that Must be able to sit for extended periods of time (8-10 hours per day)Job Qualifications and Experience BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA/MBA a plus Previous relevant experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Payroll experience a plus Experience with Oracle, Epicor, OneStream and UKG a plus #LI-HYBRIDSalariedMaxcess is an equal employment opportunity employer.
