Job Description:
Duties
- Manage project timelines and implementation for new product offerings
- Lead preparation of annual and quarterly reports related to financial instruments
- Assist with the month end closing process, including operating expense accruals, transfer pricing and required adjustments to financial instrument positions.
- Lead preparation and update of detailed procedures for Corporate Accounting closing and reporting activities.
Skills
- Strong technical accounting skills, and understanding of US GAAP, as related to financial instruments.
- Microsoft Excel - pivot, vlook up - must have
- Possess excellent communication skills and comfort interfacing with senior management.
- Having experience with and understanding of financial instruments like repurchase agreements, derivatives and securities lending is a must
- Demonstrated project management experience
Education
- BS/BA or MS/MBA in Accounting required, CPA preferred.
- 7-12 years of progressive Financial reporting experience in large, complex banking or financial institutions. Securities industry experience preferable.
