The Corporate Accounting Coordinator supports the Sales Audit Shared Services department's daily operations. Responsibilities include reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulations, and coordinating with other departments to resolve financial discrepancies. They also handle administrative tasks such as maintaining accurate records and assisting with audits.
- As a member of the corporate accounting team, this position will work to help create an environment where people work as a team, and empower each other by being patient, kind, humble, respectful, selfless, forgiving, and honest and committed when interacting with one another and the guests.
- Ensure financial reporting is in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), applicable laws and regulations, and Corporate Accounting Standards.
- Ensure Company Financial Policies and Procedures are followed and consistent across Herschend subsidiaries. Any exceptions communicated to your leader or Vice President of Finance.
- Responsible for Account Reconciliations as assigned
- Review and evaluate the company's certain general ledger account balances for accuracy - gather data, review, evaluate, and make appropriate calculations
- Review and evaluate data from the company's accounting systems for accuracy in capturing information reporting data
- Maintain strong, effective internal controls and audit procedures
- Research problems, determine appropriate corrections and make recommendations as necessary
- Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records using current computer technology
- Assist Corporate Sales Audit Leader and staff with special projects; conduct various financial analyses, and prepare special request management reports
EXPERIENCE
- College Graduate with Accounting degree
- Proven knowledge of and work with accounting systems.
- Budgeting and forecasting experience preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of spreadsheet preparation utilizing Microsoft Excel
- Ability to learn and implement General Ledger software applications
