Direct Counsel is seeking a Corporate Associate Attorney with Securities and Capital Markets experience to join a top-tier law firm in New York. - Represent issuers and underwriters/placement agents in capital markets transactions ('33 Act).
- Assist public companies with compliance, corporate governance, and filings under the '34 Act.
- Provide efficient and high-quality legal service, both independently and as a key member of a collaborative team.
- Quickly integrate into the national corporate practice, handling sophisticated transactions with a focus on quality client service.
- Pursue professional growth in line with an on-track partnership role.
Qualifications
- JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Admission (or eligibility for admission) in New York.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in capital markets, securities, and corporate governance.
- Demonstrated ability to manage '33 and '34 Act matters with issuers and underwriters/placement agents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of professionalism in engaging with clients and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting and manage multiple priorities.
