Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse caseload of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate restructurings.
- Assist in legal due diligence reviews, research, and negotiation of transactional agreements.
- Draft and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
- Advise on corporate governance matters and compliance with legal regulations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks.
- Assist in the preparation of corporate policies and procedures.
- Support the legal team in various administrative tasks and special projects.
- Develop company policies and position on legal issues.
- Research, anticipate and guard company against legal risks.
- Remain up to date on evolving regulations and industry standards.
- Perform other responsibilities based on experience, abilities, and interest.
Skills/Requirements:
- Degree in Business, Law or related field.
- CCEP or CRCM certifications a plus.
- 5 years of relevant professional experience in areas such as regulatory compliance, risk management, legal, or audit functions.
- Strong organizational and record keeping skills.
- Understanding of legal compliance in reviewing marketing materials, filings, and presentations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Adaptable and open to working on a variety of matters.
- High ethical standards, ability to maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive information.
- Must be able to pass a nationwide background check / drug screen.
