Role Overview:
Could you be our next Corporate Communications Coordinator? Globe Life is looking for a Corporate Communications Coordinator to join the team!
In this role, you will be responsible for creating and supporting the Corporate Communications team and manages projects in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment. This position is responsible for coordinating requests for internal stakeholders, gathering information, drafting content, publishing content, and communicating updates. Channels include digital signage, employee intranet, newsletter, employee alerts, print, and email. As a brand ambassador, this individual must have a strong understanding of Corporate Communications best practices while upholding Globe Life's mission and values. Other projects as assigned.
This is a hybrid position located in McKinney, TX (WFH Monday & Friday, In Office Tuesday-Thursday).
What You Will Do:
- Manage project intake and delegate responsibilities to appropriate teams/departments while meeting deadlines.
- Write, design, and distribute digital communications for internal communications platforms, email, digital signage, and intranet sites.
- Coordinate the weekly digest, highlighting stories and information of interest to all employees.
- Ensure communications follow consistent messaging across all channels.
- Collaborate with other Marketing Department team members and management.
- Act as liaison between the Corporate Communications team and stakeholders in various levels/roles of the Company.
- Proofreads copy to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Coordinate new initiatives and communication campaigns.
- Adheres to and enforces the department's style guide and ensures all materials are consistent in grammar, punctuation, formatting, and spelling.
- Contributes to and/or oversees special projects as assigned.
What You Can Bring:
- B.A. in English, Communications, or Journalism from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2-3 years relevant work experience as part of employment history preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, PC operating systems.
- Must be able to communicate with graphic designers, web designers, various company departments, and outside vendors.
- Must have strong project management skills, flexibility to shift focus to different projects depending on business demand, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong proofreading and writing skills are required.
- Must be able to engage a variety of audiences.
- Experience managing communication projects from intake through completion.
- Must be flexible and able to switch focus to different projects when business demands change.
- Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritize assignments.
- Strong follow up and attention to detail.
- Airtable, M365, SnapComms, Workfront and intranet platforms experience a plus.
- Ability to autonomously investigate/research information needed for projects.
- Comfortable communicating with all levels within organization, including senior management.
- Crisis communications experience is a plus.
- Physical requirements may include, bending/stooping, crouching, kneeling and pushing/pulling. Frequent climbing and reaching above shoulder level. Occasionally lifts up to 10 pounds waist to overhead and floor to waist. Occasionally carries and pushes up to 10 pounds.
