Location: Hybrid - 3 days on-site in Vienna, VA Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Corporate Communications Lead with a strong background in crafting impactful, high-quality content and developing visually engaging communication materials. This role will be pivotal in enhancing our brand presence across multiple platforms, including social media, online properties, and company media, to foster a deeper connection with diverse audiences, both within and outside DVS. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our company's communication strategies and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and values while maintaining a professional and polished tone. Key Responsibilities: Content Creation & Management:
- Develop and publish engaging, visually appealing content for social media platforms to increase brand awareness and foster audience engagement.
- Lead the creation, design, and distribution of the company's quarterly newsletter, tailoring content to resonate with a variety of audiences, including DVS personnel and external stakeholders.
Strategic Communication Leadership:
- Spearhead the development and implementation of strategic communications plans to generate excitement and awareness for DVS initiatives across diverse audiences.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistency in messaging and alignment with company values and standards.
Editorial Oversight:
- Review and edit all communication materials, ensuring they are accurate, clear, and aligned with the DVS brand voice and professional tone.
- Maintain high standards for content accuracy, consistency, and presentation.
Presentation & Materials Development:
- Consult, assist, and design informational materials for various purposes, including presentations, briefing materials, training content, and recruitment/job fair materials.
- Provide insights on effective timelines and delivery methods for communications to maximize visibility and accessibility.
- Facilitate the All Employee Meeting process including serving as Emcee for the event.
Stakeholder Reporting & Monitoring:
- Monitor progress on all communication deliverables and report updates to stakeholders, maintaining transparency and aligning with project timelines.
- Track online engagement metrics to gauge communication effectiveness and adjust strategies as needed.
Social Media & Brand Presence:
- Design, create, and manage engaging content for company social media platforms, focusing on enhancing brand awareness, elevating SEO, and fostering audience interaction.
- Keep up to date with social media trends and adjust content strategies to maximize engagement and relevance.
Survey Development & Data Analysis:
- Develop and launch employee surveys to gather feedback, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement within the company.
- Analyze survey data and present findings to leadership, contributing to informed, data-driven decision-making.
Website Management:
- Manage and maintain the company website, ensuring content is current, accurate, and user-friendly.
- Identify areas for improvement in website functionality and aesthetics to enhance the user experience.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in corporate communications, including a demonstrated ability to craft high-quality, impactful content and manage complex communication strategies.
- Graphic Design: 3-5 years of experience in graphic design, with expertise in creating visually appealing content for various platforms.
- Written Communication Skills: Excellent written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple projects independently.
- Independence: Ability to work autonomously, proactively identifying opportunities for communication enhancement and taking initiative to drive impactful outcomes.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or other design tools.
- Familiarity with content management systems and website analytics tools.
- Experience using survey platforms and tools for gathering and analyzing feedback.
- Knowledge of social media management tools and best practices.
Physical and Mental Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication; good command of the English language

- Learns and understands routine tasks.
- Strong organizational, grammar/usage, business correspondence, and self-management skills
