The Corporate Controller reports to the Vice President of Finance is responsible for ensuring that monthly financial statements are in accordance with GAAP and any recent accounting pronouncements are incorporated into our financial statements in a timely manner. Ensures that internal controls are designed and operating effectively. Researches any accounting regulation needed for proper financial reporting requirements and coordinate reporting requirements to Corporate. Coordinates the quarterly and year end audit requirements, including completion of all account reconciliations.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the consolidated general ledger, accounting records, reconciliations, and documents for all entities, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end internal and external financial reporting. Assure compliance with GAAP and consistency with overall corporate guidelines and management policy.
* Responsible for accuracy and assuring all statements properly reflect the financial position of the corporation, product lines, and the operating performance of all locations, domestic and foreign. Responsible for the timely submission of all reporting to internal management and to corporate headquarters including monthly, quarterly, and year-end schedules, tax reporting, and internal control requirements.
* Responsible for monthly calculation and validation of sales commission payments, in coordination with the Payroll Department.
* Responsible for daily banking function, cash forecasting and annual bank reviews.
* Responsible for accurate sales reporting at the customer, territory, and product line level.
* Responsible for the reporting and tracking of environmental matters.
* Responsible for system enhancements, conversions, and passing of information to parent company.
* Ensure intercompany transactions are accounted for properly at all levels within the organization.
* Manage a team of corporate accounting staff.
Qualifications:
* BS degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA Preferred
* Minimum 15 years' experience including 7-10 years of financial reporting experience in a global manufacturing environment with heavy emphasis on internal and external compliance, general ledger, financial analysis, and cost accounting. Experience in accounting for foreign operations in China and Europe required.
* Advanced PC skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and general ledger reporting tools. Proficiency in operating in an ERP environment. Dynamics 365 experience helpful, but not required.
