Clearance: There is no clearance requirement for this position, however candidates for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.Job Description:In this position as a Corporate Controller, you will have hands-on experience in building and scaling a controllership function, strong people leadership capabilities, and a passion for process improvement and automation. This role will be instrumental in overseeing all aspects of accounting, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, audits, and supporting the organization's growth initiatives. In this position, you will also:
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the controllership function, including General Ledger management, Journal Entries, Audits, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).
  • Build and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of financial systems and processes, with a strong focus on automation and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives, providing financial insights and guidance.
  • Play a key role in scaling the company's financial operations as the organization grows.
  • Utilize Unanet ERP system to manage financial data and reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in financial operations, focusing on enhancing processes and systems for optimal efficiency.
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 6 years of relevant accounting and financial management experience, with a proven track record of building and growing a controllership function.
  • 5 years of recent Government Contracting (GovCon) experience
  • Hands on experience with Unanet ERP system.
  • Strong leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to lead and mentor people and teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and experience managing audits, general ledger, journal entries, AP/AR processes.
Desired Skills:
  • CPA certification is highly desired.
  • System and process-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and automation.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
