About the job Corporate Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Lead and provide technical expertise in project management, engineering, and maintenance across all company facilities.
  • Assist in the planning, development, and execution of capital projects and facility upgrades.
  • Prepare comprehensive lists for materials and equipment, generate purchase orders, and conduct cost analyses, including estimating production costs or potential savings.
  • Oversee the integration and implementation of new projects across various company locations.
  • Propose and manage project costs, ensuring alignment with the allocated budget.
  • Refocus efforts on underperforming projects to ensure they meet desired outcomes.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate both the technical and managerial aspects of projects, working closely with contractors, equipment manufacturers, and internal teams.
  • Integrate safety protocols, including personnel safety, food safety, and regulatory requirements, into all project phases.
  • Conduct post-installation audits, reconcile financial metrics, and document key learnings for continuous improvement in future projects.
  • Regularly initiate design modifications to enhance machine efficiency, reduce costs, and expand the capabilities of existing equipment.
  • Ensure thorough training for management and employees on new equipment and updated procedures.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 4 years of engineering experience or a 4-year degree in engineering.
  • Proficiency in CAD and other relevant engineering software tools.
  • Willingness and ability to travel at least 20% of the time.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing setting.
  • Advanced understanding of production machinery, processes, and industry standards.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale capital projects.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed cost-benefit analyses.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across various departments.
