Job DescriptionCSI Recruiting is working with a leading upstream oil & gas firm, a company that for 20+ years has successfully acquired, developed, operated, drilled and optimized oil & gas assets in the onshore, domestic market. Their office and this position are located in The Woodlands, Texas.Our client maintains a staff of experienced E&P professionals, including a robust accounting and finance staff. There is a unique opportunity to join this team in a leadership role, working as the company's Corporate Finance Manager, and reporting to the CFO. As there is not presently a VP of Finance in place, this is the top Finance role within the firm. With a portfolio of assets that includes high production unconventional wells and legacy conventional oil assets, the company is in excellent financial condition and has a track record of successful A&D transactions where everyone in the company shares in the financial success of those deals. The firm is privately held and has been for the entirely of their existence.Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:- Manage corporate financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes
- Lead compliance efforts and correspondence with lenders and other capital providers
- Coordinate with Operations and Engineering teams to develop ad hoc financial analytics
- Assist Marketing team with design and execution of commodity hedging program
- Draft and review presentation materials for the executive committee
- Development of monthly operational and financial reports to provide to shareholders
- Preparation and review of monthly accruals and reconciliations necessary to support accounting close process
- Assist in preparation of short-term cash flow forecasts to support Treasury team
- Review and evaluate new investment opportunities
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:- One direct report with the potential for expansion of the team as company growth dictates
QUALIFICATIONS:- Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- Work experience: minimum of 7-10 years of oil and gas experience with an upstream company or in investment banking or private equity
- MBA degree and/or CFA, CPA designations are preferred
- Strong financial modeling, analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to collaborate across the functional teams within the Company
